Karate for Kids is about training 7-12 year old children in life lessons and the ATA Songahm style of Traditional Taekwondo. The ATA is best known for this program.

There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes such as: (These themes are broken down into sections that the students can show they've learned and are awareded stars when the parents sign off on their report cards.)
In addition to monthly themes, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special "Victory Stars." These different colored stars are rewarded for outstanding performance in karate class, school, home or at a tournament competition. Kids may receive the following stars for the following deeds:
| Gold | Straight A’s, honor roll, or significant improvement |
| Silver | Special performance awards |
| Blue | Monthly themes, weekly lessons, classroom performance |
| Red | Tournament participation |
Victory Patches are given to each student who signs up to train past their introductory period. This patch is blue for the first 24 stars that the student earns, Silver for 25-49 stars, Gold for 50-99 stars and Blue/Gold for 100+ Stars earned to show the sudent's hard work and determination for success!
